A Brief History:
Columbine Valley sprang from a vision in Palm Springs. Members of what was to become the Middlefield Development Company, were playing golf at Thunderbird Country Club in Palm Springs. Thunderbird was the first golf course to incorporate homes around every fairway as a part of a real estate development. Inspired by the beautiful setting, these members headed back to Colorado with a plan to build homes around Columbine Country Club. In 1955, the Middlefield Development Company platted Columbine Valley and adopted the Columbine Valley Use & Building Restrictions, which are still in use today.
